Our Hunts
Early Season
Our early season Wisconsin guided goose hunts start off in September. They consist of pockets of local birds and the first push of migrators of the fall. The “molt” migration in early to mid-September can be hands down some of the best hunting of the year. Watching flocks fall out from as high as you can see, spiral all the way down to the decoys is quite the spectacle. Early season typically consists of hay fields, wheat fields and proven loaf ponds.
Mid Season
Our Wisconsin guided mid-season hunts you’ll start to see larger numbers of birds, with many geese pushed into the area and will continue to throughout the fall. Its typically the most consistent time of year, the combination of more birds in the area and a lot of fresh cut fields makes for some lights out hunting. This time of fall roles into our duck season as well, giving the opportunity at combo hunts of all sorts. From field hunts for ducks and geese, to timber hole ponds for ducks, it’s a great time to see what it’s all about.
Late Season
Our Wisconsin guided late season goose hunts is when you’ll see the mass numbers of canada geese. This is when you’ll get the true giants, the geese that will push it to the limits on toughing out the winter. The elements can be a little harsher but it can definitely be worth it. Giant geese in the snow is at the top of the list undoubtedly. This is also when we have our biggest duck numbers and have a chance at catching some of the bigger mallard dry feeds of the season. Come see what it’s all about!
Duck Hunts
Wisconsin might not be known as a target destination for mallards, but don’t let that fool you. We get our fair share of mallards and other species once birds start pushing south. We can be on a great guided field duck hunt one day to a small timber hole the next. We will target direct “feeds” and bodies of water the ducks are using or trafficking. This will put you in the best scenario for an epic hunt with decoying birds.
